From the Commander
We are extremely excited to announce a partnership with Colorado Sourdough Pizza LLC! They will be renting our kitchen space and serving their delicious pizza and other wonderful menu items starting in mid-February. They run a well-established, local restaurant in Broomfield and are excited to expand their business to Louisville. Best of all, they will offer a 20% discount to veterans! More to follow on their exact opening date, etc.

Announcements
Wreath Removal: Wreath removal is now scheduled for Sunday, February 15th, at 1:00 PM. Please meet at the Louisville Cemetery if you’d like to help. Thank you for your patience.
Vietnam Veterans: Attention Vietnam Veterans. We will be honoring your service at our General Membership Meeting on February 11th at 6:00 PM. If you are a Vietnam Veteran, please come to this month’s meeting where we will hold a small pinning ceremony and hold a potluck dinner.
Help Wanted: We are still in need of an Honor Guard Coordinator. The Honor Guard Coordinator interacts with the community and organizes honor guard support for local events. This work can be primarily done from home. The positions for Senior Vice Commander and Junior Vice Commander are also open. If you are interested in any of these positions please contact the Commander or any member of the Executive Board.

Colorado Department News
From Commander Steve Butner: “It is with great joy that I am able to report to you today that the Colorado American Legion has a new Constitution & By-laws! Officers have been elected and the empty seats are being filled as we speak. As soon as I have that complete list I will blast it out to you all. But for right now, Mike Crow, from Post 77 Simila and District 2 Commander, is our Department Commander. Sarah Tobin, From Post 209 Colorado Springs and District 7 Commander, is our Department SrVice Commander. Tom Florez, from Post 2 Pueblo and District 8 Commander is our National Executive Committeeman. Greg Jackson, from Post 65 Delta, is our Alternate National executive Committeeman. Stan Hamamoto, from Post 209 Colorado Springs, is our Department Chaplain. There were four JrVices elected and the Commander is selecting the other two.”

Sons of the American Legion Meeting (February 5, 2025): There will be a Sons of the American Legion Meeting at 6:00 PM at the post.
Auxiliary Unit 111 Meeting (February 8, 2025): There will be an Auxiliary Unit 111 Meeting at 9:00 AM at the post.
General Membership Meeting (February 11, 2025): There will be a General Membership Meeting at 6:00 PM at the post. The lounge will be closed during this meeting.
