Labor Day 2024

Members of Walter Rhoades American Legion Post 111, Sons of the American Legion, and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 111 led the Louisville, Colorado Labor Day Parade. Additionally, this year Team 111 teamed with the United States Marine Corps League who provided a float honoring the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Observed the first Monday in September, Labor Day is an annual celebration of the social and economic achievements of American workers. The holiday is rooted in the late nineteenth century, when labor activists pushed for a federal holiday to recognize the many contributions workers have made to America’s strength, prosperity, and well-being. This year marks the town’s 88th annual Labor Day celebrations, Louisville's biggest community event of the year!
